CNN host Laura Ingraham says there are two ways to build your own lake house: Either you can borrow money from your neighbor or borrow it from a friend.
“There’s no money involved,” Ingraham said.
“You borrow it, you put it up for sale.
Then you go borrow it back.
You can borrow it to buy something, buy a boat, buy food.””
Then you get a refund,” she continued.
“And then you can buy a house.
It’s pretty simple.
The problem is, I’ve never done it.
So I don’t know.
I’m not sure.”
Ingraham said that there are other ways to borrow money.
“I know you can use a credit card, but you have to pay it back,” she said.
Ingraham also said that you can also borrow money and then borrow it again.
“It’s easy,” she added.
“The problem is you have a mortgage.
You have a down payment.
You put down a little bit of money.
And then you go to borrow more money.”
Ingampes comments come after a number of other GOP politicians have raised questions about the need for government assistance.
The Federal Reserve announced Monday that it will be raising interest rates from 1 percent to 0.75 percent over the next several years, starting in July.
Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio has said that he will not raise the federal minimum wage, even if it is set at $15 an hour.
“If I’m elected president, I’ll increase the minimum wage to $15.
And we’ll get there, but it won’t happen overnight,” he said last week.
