Lake lake, which has been designated a Lake Stevens National Lakeshore, has been in the news lately because of a lake that was drained and has now become a landfill.
The lake’s status was announced on January 20, 2017, and the Lake Stevens Administration announced it on March 15, 2017.
Lake Stevens is a national park that covers approximately 4,700 square miles, with the western half covering the city of Kalamazoo, the eastern half surrounding the Kalamazoos Indian Reservation and the northern half extending from the city limits of St. Croix County to the Ohio River.
